This paper investigates a conceptual, theoretical framework for power system contingency analysis based on agglomerative hierarchical clustering. The security and integrity of modern networks have received considerable critical attention, plays vital role in assessing the adverse effects losing single element or more network. However, number possible scenarios that should be investigated would enormous, even small On other hand, artificial intelligence (AI) techniques are well known their remarkable ability to deal with massive data. Rapid developments AI led renewed interest its applications many studies over last decades. Hence, this addresses application clustering algorithm supported by principal component (PCA) screening ranking. study hierarchy under different numbers similarity measures. performance developed has been evaluated using IEEE 24-bus test system. simulation results show effectiveness proposed analysis.
